The city of San Miguel de Allende has an important history to the Mexican people. It was in this city that the start of the revolution against Spain took place. It is currently a wonderful city to visit, to see the beautiful architecture, the beautiful churches, to try the wonderful local food, to visit the art galleries, to listen to some wonderful music and to take in what has become a growing artist community with over 5000 American and Europeans having taken up residence over the last fifteen years. Here are some images I took during a January 2007 trip.
